April + Jacques : San Antonio
What’s a couple of New Yorkers doing in San Antonio?
Having a fab wedding and a rocking reception, of course!
Congratulations to April + Jacques, who tied the knot at the historic Mission San Jose and then partied in downtown San Antonio at the Marriott. Their slideshow can be seen here : www.aprilandjacques.com
(we also got to work with Ryan from Reve Weddings. Thanks for making it all happen
)
Some of our favorites :

unforgettable images
Which ONE image can’t you live with out?
(We’ve been asking our clients to select one (two from each couple) that holds the most meaning for them. It’s a tough task
Thank you all for taking time to share your thoughts. We’ll be posting more of these throughout the year.)

Maggie : I remember this exact moment and I love that it was captured. The wind was whipping and spitting but there was a sense of calm in Brent’s arms. (photographed on the shore of Newport, RI | August 25, 2007)

Brent : There were a hundred people surrounding us but it felt like we were the only people in the room. This picture describes that feeling perfectly.

Erin : This picture is meaningful to us because it was a truly special moment for us. We were able to get away from the excitement and energy of the day, to go out into the calming, gentle rain, to enjoy the beauty of the arboretum landscape, and have one of our first pictures as husband and wife. This picture reminds us of our wonderful family and friends, who cheerfully helped us with many last minute details such as changing the ceremony site when large and unplanned-for clouds of rain rolled in. While the rain was unexpected, it was also really beautiful! And who else gets to get photographed on their wedding day under a big red umbrella? (Who else has a photographer who is excited to photograph you in the rain?
)

Erin : We love this picture because we remember feeling so happy! We felt so lucky to be surrounded by some of our dearest friends and family who had traveled so far to be with us.

Liz : My favorite is the one of us praying. I love this one because it is such a special moment and a beautiful picture. I love that it is black and white. I think it enhances the emotion. I just love it!

Liz : Jason’s favorite is the one where we are cake tasting and laughing. He likes it because it is fun and hows how much fun we were having. He loves that you ca see people in teh background and see them laughing as well.

Leigh Ann : I had a very hard time choosing a favorite picture because I have so many. Each one tells a story of the day and I am so thankful to have them. My favorites are the ones that are the unconventional wedding shots, but I chose this one because it captured a special moment where I thanked my dad for everything that he’s done for me.

Leigh Ann : Both Nasmi and my mom love this picture. They decided we look the best in this one, but Nasmi also mentioned he looks taller than me ![]()
Seattle, WA : John + Jane
This year turned out to be full of weddings of photographers
I photographed my third wedding this year where the bride and groom are both accomplished wedding photographers. It’s truly an honor to be selected for such an important event and also a pleasure to be working for nice people who understand photography.
Just one photo for now - can’t wait to present more images for a great couple : John + Jane (who live and work in Seattle for as part of John & Joseph Photography)
Congratulations y’all and have a great honeymoon….
