leigh anna + brian

Congratulations to Leigh Anna and Brian, whose weekend proved to be a great time for family and friends.  The fun started friday night at Eddie Dean’s with an awesome rehearsal dinner complete with a visit from the wedding fairy (you know who you are).  Saturday started with a fun run before the girls relaxed a little prior to the ceremony.  The reception was held at the Nasher Sculpture Center where guests enjoyed a great meal, rockin music, and cool lighting (courtesy of Elumineer).  A special thanks to Hollie Wells of Chic Weddings and Events  and Robin Brogan (awesome floral) of Your Perfect Wedding by Di Fiori for making this a great one!  Check out more fun coming soon at www.leighannaandbrian.com

Merritt + Mike

Spent a great afternoon with Merritt and Mike in downtown McKinney!  These folks decided to tie the knot on Halloween - awesome!  Can’t wait for their wedding!

Michael + Hanh : story of the anti-bride

What’s an anti-bride?

I’d like to think it’s someone who does what she wants on her wedding day :) That’s Hanh! as she + Michael thoroughly enjoyed their wedding day at the Dallas Arboretum surrounded by family and friends.

Thanks for being yourselves!

A few faves :

meet lacey

This is my second senior session ever and I think we’re on the right track!

Lacey drove in from Longview (there’s the Longview connection again :) ) and we spent the afternoon dodging the rain. Thanks Lacey for having such a great spirit and for being your light-hearted self.

And also a big thank you to Anita at Elan  for making Lacey look especially good…

Hitched - Allison + Eric

On the road this weekend for the wedding of Allison and Eric.  These New Yorkers tied the knot among the tall East Texas pines at the bride’s family home in Longview, TX.  Allison  and Eric were loads of fun.  The Bride and her Maid of Honor showed of their musical skills with a mini jam session before the Allison and Eric said “I do”.  An intimate ceremony calmed things down a bit, but the party picked right back up at the reception thanks to the gang from Skyrocket.  Congrats to the bride and groom, and thanks to everyone who made this one possible.  We had a blast!  Check out the slideshow coming soon at www.ericlovesallison.com

Hey Haley!

We’re excited to share the news!

It’s a big honor for us to be recognized and to be mentioned alongside other great photographers such as our friends Amy Deputy, Anna Kuperberg, and Erwin & Ray from Apertura. Congratulations everyone!

Obviously, we’re very proud of the consistency and distinctiveness of our images but we really have to thank our clients who allow us the freedom to do our best work for them. With their trust and faith, we were able to fearlessly apply our vision to make these uncommon images.

Looking forward to another great year and more great images!

Susan + Ben at the Warwick

Congratulations to Susan and Ben who tied the knot this past Saturday at the beautiful Warwick Melrose Hotel in Dallas.  We met this pair last year at the wedding of Miemie and Brad, so they felt like old friends from the start.  Getting ready was a blast and Susan was up for anything - perfect!  Susan looked beautiful with makeup by Penny Sadler.  The ceremony was held on a balcony at the hotel which made for a beautiful, intimate service.  Moving to the reception - these two lit up the dance floor along with their family and friends, and the Grooves Band out of Austin made sure the party rocked.  Thanks to Susan and Ben for making us a part of this awesome day.  Be sure to check out all the fun coming soon at www.benlovessusan.com

sweetness in Southern California - the Dodds a year later….

Last time we saw Lacey + Patrick on their wedding day in June 2008, they were rushing off into the hot Texas night in the way to their honeymoon and a new life together in San Diego.

(you might remember them from this wedding show : link )

Last weekend, I had a few free hours before a photo shoot near the area so I thought I’d drop in on their cute little place to see how they’re doing and also make a few lifestyle portraits - sort of an engagement session for a married couple :) It also happened to be Lacey’s 23rd birthday too. How cool is that?

It’s a sweet life for a sweet couple…

If I were a better writer, I can write good stuff about the stories that we shared - friends, family, Lacey saving up to buy Patrick his dream guitar, food, hopes, plans, and Starbucks :) but I’m not so I’ll just show  a few faves from the quick shoot.

Happy Birthday Lacey and hope to see both of you at Colette’s wedding in July!
