Sarah + Adam, the engagement
See you in November!

what do you call this type of photo session?
I dropped in on Brynn + Ashton at their home Wichita Falls, TX for a little photo session. It’s kinda like an engagement session but they’re already married (Sept. 2007) or a family session where the family is only two people :)It’s also not an anniversary shoot like Lacey + Patrick’s recent one in San Diego. What would be a good, catchy name for this?Anyway, here are some personal faves…more on our studio facebook site (look in the albums)

Hollie + James
We celebrated recently with a sweet couple who had also taken me to Dana Point, CA for a special destination engagement photo session at sunset…
Congratulations to Hollie + James!

the engagement session - all fun and games
Engagement sessions are fun, aren’t they? ! You get a couple of hours of alone time to relax and play with your beloved. It’s a nice break in your busy schedule.
As your photographers, we enjoy getting to know you personally as well as checking out some of your angles so that we can formulate how to pose you (for your portraits) on the wedding day It’s also a chance for you to get to know us and to be familiar with having us around and hearing a little click click here an a little click click there. Once we become part of your scene, it’s very easy to ignore us and be natural. That’s when we get these fantastically real images that our clients have come to expect from f8studio photographers
What to wear at engagement? Your favorite outfits, of course! Just be comfortable and don’t lug around a lot of stuff. We like to keep movin’. Bring your dog, your cat, your roommate, even your parents! (yup, we had that
) Let’s make a day of it.
Of course, our engagement sessions tend to be very spontaneous, free-flowing, and natural. That’s the f8 philosophy that applies to all kinds of photo sessions and even weddings.
So be yourselves and let it happen…
Here’s the link to our engagement sessions that we posted on our blog : link

Brooke + Bailey
Spent the afternoon with Brooke and Bailey for their super fun engagement session. We toured around the Lakewood area and enjoyed the beautiful sunshine. Check out a few favs below!
Merritt + Mike
Spent a great afternoon with Merritt and Mike in downtown McKinney! These folks decided to tie the knot on Halloween - awesome! Can’t wait for their wedding!
sweetness in Southern California - the Dodds a year later….
Last time we saw Lacey + Patrick on their wedding day in June 2008, they were rushing off into the hot Texas night in the way to their honeymoon and a new life together in San Diego.
(you might remember them from this wedding show : link )
Last weekend, I had a few free hours before a photo shoot near the area so I thought I’d drop in on their cute little place to see how they’re doing and also make a few lifestyle portraits - sort of an engagement session for a married couple
It also happened to be Lacey’s 23rd birthday too. How cool is that?
It’s a sweet life for a sweet couple…
If I were a better writer, I can write good stuff about the stories that we shared - friends, family, Lacey saving up to buy Patrick his dream guitar, food, hopes, plans, and Starbucks
but I’m not so I’ll just show a few faves from the quick shoot.
Happy Birthday Lacey and hope to see both of you at Colette’s wedding in July!

bits and pieces of an engagement : Melanie + Joe
We had a little fun at the Dallas Arboretum recently on a beautiful Friday afternoon. I can’t say that I planned to focus closely on little bits and pieces of Melanie + Joe but it just turned out that way.
Thanks for playing along guys :) Looking forward to October!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Colette + Luke, the e-session
We’ll have fun when July 25 rolls around!
Way to brave the cold Luke
